On 10–11 December 2025, we were delighted to host a visit from Air Giants in the Cobot Maker Space. Air Giants is a creative robotics studio renowned for building inflatable, pneumatically controlled creatures that captivate audiences at arts festivals, shopping centres, and even on the high street.

Richard Sewell, Director of Air Giants, shared fascinating insights from their 2023 Giant Tactile Robots project, followed by an exhibition of three impressive prototypes, giving members of the Somabotics Fellowship the chance to get up close and experience some of the largest robots people will ever encounter—some towering taller than a double-decker bus!
