2nd International Conference in AI Music Studies
30th March – 1st April 2026

The AIMS conference aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from across several disciplines to explore the opportunities, challenges, and emerging methodologies shaping the study of AI- generated and AI‑mediated music within the Humanities and Social Sciences. With a particular focus on inside knowledge, we hope to spark conversations across musicology, ethnomusicology, human–AI interaction, sound studies, science and technology studies, philosophy, ethics, economics, and feminist and posthumanist frameworks.
The programme features papers, panels, workshops, a keynote address, and a special LOERIC music performance at Peggy’s Skylight, in the Lace Market area of Nottingham City Centre on the evening of Tuesday 31st March.
