This project will illustrate how AI can be used to reframe and reimagine human–machine relationships in both artistic and technological contexts through the application of AI Lens, a novel AI-powered camera system that applies live generative transformations to video in real time.

It builds on the Embrace Angels project, an artist-led performance exploring human-robot interaction through the act of embracing, which was documented using a precursor of the AI Lens system.

By replacing the traditional on-camera monitor with AI-generated imagery, AI Lens will enable filmmakers and artists to engage in embodied, real-time interaction with diffusion models — actively shaping the generative process through movement, framing, and direct manipulation of model parameters.
